Teaching Philosophy
My passion for teaching comes from an art school background, where creativity and process are very important whenever communicating ideas. I approach technology the same way, and believe that learned skills and experimentation are both important. I enjoy anything to do with boating, because modern boats (commercial or recreational) encompasses pretty much every type of tool or technology ever invented, all crammed together requiring unique design decisions, space planning, and a whole lot of patience to use and maintain. Teaching related to boating and sailing requires a lot of active learning, and I also apply that philosophy when teaching technology skills or supporting technology integration efforts.
